Bob Recommends....

The second edition of "Bob Recommends" has been released. If your are a music / film fan then please read the words of our resident media expert, which will bring you up to date with some of the latest music and film CD / DVD releases, and perhaps reminding you of some that you'd forgotten.

Photo Gallery

We have added a sophisticated photo gallery to our website, allowing group members, parents, and member of the Scout Association to share photos of scouting activities at 3rd Molesey. Once you have registered you will be able to upload your photos to your own albums in our gallery.

Please click on the "Photo Gallery" link in the yellow bar above, and then help us to expand our gallery by adding your photos.

The Scout Association publishes rules which affect the way that we are allowed to publish photos of group members on our website. These guidelines are a very sensible measure to enhance the safety of the young people in the group. We are required to seek parental permission to show photos of anyone under the age of 18 on our website which will be visible to the public. Therefore, all photos that you upload will be added to a password protected members area, which will only be visible to registered members of the group. Once we have obtained parental permission, we can move the photos to the public area.

We have released a letter to parentsPDF icon explaining the requirements, which includes a consent form for those who are happy to have photographs on the website showing their children engaged in normal Scouting activities.

Service Crew

We are looking for additional members to join our Service Crew. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this part of the group, the Service Crew is a group of volunteers who occasionally give their time to the group to put up and take down tents at events such as the Molesey Carnival, school fairs, and to help with the "behind the scenes" work at group camp. This is a role which does not require a scheduled regular commitment, so if you have a few hours to spare each months (literally just one or two!) and you wouldn't mind us calling upon you to help, please contact the service crew who will welcome you warmly into the group. No previous experience is required, full training is given, and we welcome both brain and brawn in any combination!

Photocopier Engineer Required

Are you an expert with photocopiers? The Group has recently acquired a Canon MP1520 photocopier for general use, but it requires a service before we can put it to work. If you or a friend could help us by donating a small amount of your time, please contact us.

The Amazon Fund Raising is Working!

If you have been shopping at Amazon.co.uk via our website then THANK YOU! In the last three months of 2006 you helped raise over £180 for the Scout Group. As you can see, this is a very easy way to raise money for the group and it costs you absolutely nothing extra.

All you have to do is enter the Amazon.co.uk site via one of the special links on our webpage, you can then shop in the usual way and the fundraising process is completely automatic. It is so seamless in fact, that we've had people ask us whether they are doing it right. Yes, you are! Please keep it up. Click here for more details on the scheme, or click the Amazon.co.uk link to the right to start shopping now.

"100 Club" Launched

We are delighted to introduce the "100 Club", which is available to Group members and their families. This is an opportunity for you to win £50 each month, plus the additional chance of winning £100 in our special Christmas draw. To participate in the 100 Club you will need to buy shares which cost £13 each and are valid for the entire year. Each month we will draw a winner from the list of members of the 100 Club, who will receive £50 as their prize. For full details and an application form please click here.
